About Us

Marc's Testimony
I grew up in a house knowing Jesus from a very young age with one of the best mom and dad anyone can ever ask for.
Since a young age I was drawn to fame, whilst in pursuit of wanting fame so much, it led to an urge to be a well-known name, subsequently making celebrities and sport stars my idols, and unfortunately at that stage of my life God was a job and going to church was a chore.
At the age of 14, I became friends with coloured boys from a neighboring area and started getting involved with the world of alcohol, drugs, and hip hop.
At the age of 15 I met a friend whose dad committed suicide, and this led to a new life where going out partying and fighting became the norm.
Weekends out on the streets and in clubs and almost not getting through school was something normal and after school I had no plan all I wanted to do was to be famous, either a famous Hip Hop artist or a famous DJ in clubs touring the world.
I met my now wife Chantelle-lee in 1999 and soon became the bad influence in her life by introducing her to the life I was drawn into, we moved to Pretoria together in 2003 and went against anything my parents taught me from a young age.
In this new journey together, we just kept on messing up and eventually had Chantelle-lee pregnant, so we decided to get married.
In 2008 our little girl was born but this did not stop my behavior and most of all my addiction. I felt how my life was falling apart bit by bit, in 2008 I got myself to give my life to Christ only because I felt everything was falling apart, and since I grew up in a Christian home, I knew Jesus is the only one who brings rest and peace, but at that stage it was just a religion.
Together Chantelle and I-lee got baptized but this did not mean I was done with my ways, I stayed in addiction and stayed disobedient to who I knew I was supposed to be.
I was caught up in a world of addiction. In 2011 our little boy was born, and we eventually moved back to Secunda to start work at Sasol. With a steady income this allowed me to have more time and more funds to get even deeper into addiction.
Drinking, fighting darkness was entering our relationship and my life more and more until Chantelle-lee had enough and said she no longer wants to be with me.
I was lost, blind and finally realized I need help. I gave my life to Christ September 2015 and started to get connected in church and God started to move in my life.
My wife and my kids got restored back into my life as I surrendered not just my heart to Jesus but my whole life.
I now get to lead an addiction support group as well as opened Yahweh Rapha Recovery Centre in Secunda after meeting Gary and Tracy who helped us to start the centre to be able to sow into people’s lives.
By the Grace of God, we are saved, and now we can take what we learned and give that back to others to live free from addiction into Victory through Christ.
